How it Works
MataAedes uses a fungus to kill adult mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are attracted to the odor of the fungus (which is imperceptible to humans). When they enter the trap, the mosquitoes are infected by the fungus and become sick. Sick mosquitoes stop feeding on blood, biting people, transmitting dengue, Zika and chikungunya, and producing eggs. Mosquitoes die within 48 hours of contact with the fungus.
